MAGWAI NEWS

September 2003

We have again had quite a lot of changes since our last update, the major one being the loss of Gehenna in April. We are just entering the kitten season with queens calling all over the place.

We are looking forward to our new boys and girls having an impact on our breeding programme this year.

Amoenta Kaleidoscope - a very pretty Seal Tortiepoint from Yvonne & Kevin Murphy in Palmerston North. It is really great to have a tortie back in the fold after a break of some 4 years. She is a very big boned girl and has striking distribution of colour.

Iluvatar Dakota - a very nice type girl, with great balance to her body and good head type.

The only thing I can fault her on is her colour, she is a lovely Bluepoint (but we need these like a hole in the head!!).

She was bred by Cheryl Hughson here in Greytown (Iluvatar).
She is from our Norwegian import - Oslo and a Chocolatepoint girl - Maggie, which we sold Cheryl a couple of years ago. So this is bringing back some lines and a chocolate carrier to boot.

Our lovely Bluepoint boy - Mishula Jumanji (Julio) is maturing well - good boning and great eye colour. He is already throwing some lovely type kittens....

So exciting times ahead as these cats start to stamp their mark on our Birman programme.
